About the Owners
John Sullivan and Richard Vazza have combined forces to launch the Lapels Laundromat model in the Greater Boston market. John and Richard have known each other for over forty years having been college roommates and graduates of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
Richard Vazza was President of Vazza Properties, Inc. a family-owned real estate development company located in Boston, MA. The firm developed, constructed, and managed over 4 million square feet of commercial, retail, self-storage, and industrial properties. In addition, the firm was one of the largest privately owned residential building companies completing over 3,000 housing units.
Mr. Vazza is a 1986 graduate of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and received a Certificate from the Harvard University Undergraduate School of Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts in Retail Development and Affordable Housing.
John Sullivan is the founder and owner of Sullivan Brothers Auto Mall established in 1986. Serving Boston's South Shore market for over 35 years, Sullivan Brothers dealerships include Nissan, Toyota, and a brand-new state of the art collision center.
Sullivan Brothers has received numerous awards and accolades over the years including the Nissan Award of Excellence for outstanding performance in sales, customer satisfaction, and owner loyalty for the past 11 years in a row. In addition, Sullivan Toyota has won the coveted Toyota Presidents Award on multiple occasions. This award is limited to only a small number of dealerships nationally and is the most exclusive and prestigious honor a Toyota dealership can earn. This elite award recognizes a combination of operational superiority, high-volume sales and, most importantly, outstanding customer satisfaction performance.
Mr. Sullivan is a 1986 graduate of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and a graduate of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) dealer academy in 1990.
