Fabric Care Tips

June 30, 2016

Pool PhotoSummer is finally here and for most of us that means cooling off in the ocean, lake or pool.  Use caution when applying sunblock and suntan lotion.  Many of these products contain dyes and oils that can stain clothing and swimwear.  When applying for use with clothing, allow the lotion to dry as much as possible before dressing to avoid transfer of any dye or oil onto your clothes.  When applying with your swimwear always be sure to rinse and launder your swimsuit as soon as possible after wearing and be sure to follow the care label instructions.

Also, be aware that chlorine in pools, spas and hot tubs and salt water from the ocean can damage/stress the fabric (spandex) used in most swimwear.  Always remember to rinse your suit as soon as possible after swimming and launder according to the care label instructions.

Following these simple steps will help to keep your swimwear looking good all summer long.
