Lapels Dry Cleaning, an innovative, environmentally friendly dry-cleaning company headquartered in Hanover, Massachusetts, opened a full-service, environmentally friendly dry-cleaning plant at 20222 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas on June 2.
“We’re extremely excited to bring a sustainable, non-toxic way of dry cleaning clothes to Spring,” said Hiep Dang, the owner of Lapels Dry Cleaning of Spring. “When we open our doors on June 2, Lapels Dry Cleaning will be utilizing a 100 percent environmentally non-toxic cleaning solution.”
Lapels has pioneered its eco-friendly dry-cleaning experience over the past two decades. Part of that effort includes a partnership agreement with GreenEarth®, the dry-cleaning industry’s only non-toxic cleaning alternative, for its newer locations like Lapels Dry Cleaning of Spring. Using these kinds of solutions and the latest technology in equipment, Lapels is one of the few dry cleaners able to boast that there is no hazardous waste in their process.
Prior to opening his Lapels Dry Cleaning location, Dang, a CPA, worked for private sector firms in the oil and gas industry. The University of Houston grad, however, had his sights set on owning his own business. After a significant amount of research, he determined the dry-cleaning industry to be a solid, recession-proof opportunity.
“I grew up in Houston. Given the diversity of industries, population growth in recent years and future outlook—I felt the dry-cleaning market had plenty of potential” said Dang, who resides with his wife Annie Le and their two-year old son in Cypress. “For someone new to the business, I needed a strong support system. After speaking to current franchisees and researching about Lapels—including Lapels CEO Kevin Dubois’ book, Entrepreneurial Insanity in the Dry Cleaning Business. I had my sight set on Lapels. With Lapels strong business model, partnership with GreenEarth and industry experience, owning a Lapels franchise was the right decision,” said Dang.
Added Dang, “At Lapels, we offer an environmentally-friendly cleaning process that has no odor and is gentler on clothes, thus lengthening the life of clothes. I think people in the greater Spring area are going to love how their clothes look and feel and the entire Lapels experience,” said Dang.
Lapels Dry Cleaning also sets itself apart with its customer service. Lapels customers are greeted to a warm and inviting reception area, with friendly customer service representatives, and alteration services.
Lapels offers its customers Automatic Rewards earning them credit towards free dry cleaning for every dollar they spend, Loyalty Programs, a VIP Program which eliminates the need to wait in line, the use of a 24 Hour Drop Off Service and FREE Home Delivery to all its customers. Same day service is also available with pick-up after 5 pm. Lapels also offers a “car hop” service where customers can drop off and pick up their clothing without ever leaving their cars.
Hours at Lapels Dry Cleaning of Spring are Monday through Friday, 7 am to 7 pm; Saturday 8 am to 5 pm; and Sunday, 12 pm to 3 pm.
